Undergraduate Lab Assistant
Biography:
Maya is a pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in Neuroscience as well as a minor in Biomedical Engineering. She is also a Pre-Health student. Maya is from Acworth, Georgia and she enjoys running in her free time.
Research:
Maya is working with Tom to prepare eye tissue samples to determine the efficacy of glaucoma treatments. She works with the microtome to cut sections of rat optic nerves and other parts of the eye.
Fun Fact:
Maya can play the harp.
