Undergraduate Lab Assistant
Biography:
Gabrielle is pursuing a Bachelors of Science degree in biomedical engineering along with the pre-health option. She is from West Hartford, Connecticut and is involved in the Rowing club and Society of Women Engineers at Tech.
Research:
Gabrielle is working with Tom on the cryostat and microtome. She is currently sectioning optic nerve samples from rat eyes which have been injected with microbeads and some which have additionally been treated with genipin– working with Bailey Hannon to characterize the effects of genipin-induced scleral stiffening as a glaucoma treatment.
