Dr. Ethier is a Georgia Research Alliance Distinguished Scholar. The Georgia Research Alliance creates opportunities to grow Georgia’s economy through university-based research.
Dr. Ethier is a proud recipient of the Coulter Translational Partnership Award in Biomedical Engineering. This award is focused on increasing collaboration between biomedical engineers and clinicians to promote translational research.
NASA’s Human Research Program and the National Space Biomedical Research Institute awarded Dr. Ethier a grant to research the VIIP Syndrome in astronauts.
Dr. Ethier also receives support from the National Institutes of Health, including an R01 grant focused on testing the efficacy of increasing the stiffness of the peripapillary sclera as a possible glaucoma treatment.
