Wei Zhu, PhD

Biography:
Wei is an assistant professor in Medical School at Qingdao University in China. Her current research is focused on stem cell-based therapy to regenerate the damaged trabecular meshwork in glaucoma. She is particularly interested in understanding the interaction between stem cells and their mechanical environment. She received her Ph.D. from Shandong Agricultural University in China and worked as a postdoctoral research scholar in Shandong Eye Institute and Kuehn Lab at the University of Iowa.
